A few days ago in the radiology clinic came a head Ct Scan to be read. The thing that amazed me was the view on the Ct. I can not imagined how the people with that kind of Ct view would looked like.

So let me tell you, the Ct shows an unbalance face with a bone disorder. The head bones look like sponges.

My consulent said that this was fibrous dysplasia. It is a disorder in bone which make the bone like fibrous (scar) tissue. It is because the tissue is in the normal bone’s place. As the bone grows, so the tissue will expands more. There is unknown cause of this disease. There is also no treatment for this disease. Maybe just relieving the sign.

Then my consulent asked if the patient came to got the Ct Scan, he asked to do X-Ray photo. The X-Ray photo shows a thickness in the tabula part of the cranium.

Do you curious how the patient looks like?

In my opinion, not bad as i thought would be.

Btw, one thing I forget to tell, there are a pathognomonist sign in Ct Scan reading for this disease which called Ground Glass Appearance.
